Savvy Elderhood:

Reimagining What it Means to Grow Older…

The Savvy Elderhood Movement:

Rewriting the Story of Aging Itself!

Welcome to Savvy Elderhood ~ Conscious Longevity!

We are a life coaching enterprise passionate about empowering people to live long, healthy, abundant, productive, satisfying, and fulfilling lives. We accomplish this by turning all the negatives of getting older into positives by having them become Savvy Elders

“Savvy” means having practical, shrewd intelligence, experience, and deep understanding. It implies being well-informed, perceptive, and resourceful, with a knack for sound judgment.

“Elder” means someone older, more senior, or of a higher rank, often referring to an aged person with authority in a community, family, or church.

A Savvy Elder, then, is an older person who makes good decisions, gives sound advice, and is worthy of the respect and honor she receives without having to ask for it.

Based on this definition, I know that many of you reading this already qualify as a Savvy Elder. However, to turn all of the negative things people assume about growing older into positives, something more is needed.

A Savvy Elder must adopt a MINDSET that supports all their Life Choices.

A Savvy Elder’s mindset allows them to see what others call failure as feedback and choose an alternative path. When things are not working as expected, instead of giving up or declaring ‘it must not have been meant to be’, Savvy Elders ask, ‘What am I not seeing here?’ or ‘What is this experience teaching me?’

A Savvy Elder must develop HABITS that enhance their well-being, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

This is the action component mixed with a heavy dose of discernment. There is no one-size-fits-all program for Savvy Elderhood. Discovering and consistently applying the habitual actions tailored to each individual Savvy Elder automatically transforms the negatives of this phase of life into some of their best years ever!

A Savvy Elder must make the DECISION to live a Long, Healthy, Happy, Abundant, and Fulfilled life.

Until a person makes this decision, it is much easier to blame not having the life they want on “luck,” “the way things are,” and “circumstances beyond their control” than to accept the authority, sovereignty, and available assistance to make their dream life their reality.

A Savvy Elder must create a CONSCIOUS RELATIONSHIP with their internal guidance system.

Everyone has this internal guidance. Whenever someone says “I was in the zone”, or “something told me this was a bad idea,” or “ it just felt right”, they are talking about their internal guidance. I call it your Core of Magnificence, but there are lots of names for it. This guidance is where Savvy Elders get their Savvy.

Small group coaching is where no more than twelve Savvy Elders meet weekly to receive coaching and share insights about a challenging aspect of their lives that they have in common, their health, their finances, or their relationships. Frequently, when someone is being coached on how to apply what was mentioned in the Initiative, new understanding and new possibilities open up for others in the group. Small groups provide Savvy Elders a rich opportunity to contribute as well as receive, bond over shared support and success, and move quickly through the phases of building a powerful relationship with their Core of Magnificence. For specific information on what happens in the various Savvy Small Groups, please visit the Small Group Coaching page.

One - On - One Coaching

$1,500

One-on-one coaching is simply a package of 13 individual 90-minute coaching sessions. One-on-one allows a Savvy Elder to engage in life coaching as frequently or infrequently as needed or desired. The only request is that the Savvy Elder only sign up after receiving clear guidance to take this on now. The first of the thirteen sessions is primarily intended to create agreement and alignment on the series's intentions. The major point of Savvy Elderhood coaching and the guidance of the Core of Magnificence is to have a Savvy Elder experience and to express the Magnificence they are at their Core, in their life. It is true that this authentic expression will impact a Savvy Elder’s business, but this is NOT Business Coaching. The authenticity that emerges in following the guidance will be revealed in creative expression, in physical results, in communication effectiveness, in philanthropy, and everywhere a Savvy Elder invests time, energy, and attention. If this type of coaching support appeals to you, please schedule a Quick Chat so we can answer all your questions.

The Savvy Elderhood Movement

Many people over fifty are walking around with a quiet tug of war inside: part of them hopes the years ahead will be rich and meaningful, while another part whispers, “It’s all downhill from here.” The Savvy Elderhood Movement exists to meet that inner conflict head-on—not by denying the hard truths of aging, but by offering a different story about what those years can become.

Most people over fifty carry a bundle of fears that rarely get voiced directly. Among the most common

  • “What if my health falls apart?”
Fear of chronic illness, pain, dementia, and losing mobility is one of the top worries in later life. People see headlines about disease and quietly imagine themselves in those stories

  • “What if I run out of money?”
Financial surveys show that older adults are deeply concerned about outliving their savings, facing unexpected medical costs, or becoming vulnerable if the economy shifts.

  • “What if I lose my independence?”
There is a deep dread of becoming unable to drive, manage a home, or make one’s own decisions—and of being forced into care settings against one’s wishes.

  • “What if I end up alone—or a burden?”
Many worry about losing friends and partners, shrinking social circles, and becoming a burden to their children or community.

These fears are not signs of weakness; they are signs of caring. People fear losing what they value: health, freedom, dignity, connection, and the ability to contribute. The Savvy Elderhood Movement treats these not as reasons to give up, but as reasons to become more conscious and deliberate.

A Savvy Elder asks, “If these are my fears, what can I begin doing now—in my body, my finances, my relationships, my inner life—to reduce the risk, build resilience, and prepare my heart?” That question turns fear into fuel.

Your Fears Are Welcome Here

The Savvy Elderhood Movement does not require you to be fearless, endlessly optimistic, or spiritually polished. It simply asks you to bring your real thoughts, beliefs, and fears about aging into the light—and then choose who you want to become in conversation with them.

If you worry about health, money, independence, or loneliness, you are not disqualified; you are exactly the kind of person this movement is for. If you secretly feel younger inside than the world expects, you are already standing on the threshold of Savvy Elderhood.

The fears so many people have about aging prompted the transformation of Savvy Elderhood from a coaching program into a national movement.

When we reach the mid-century mark, half the population of the United States will be over age fifty!

Those adopting Savvy Elderhood now are torchbearers for the attitude shifts that are coming.
